Call of Duty: Mobile teases new map from Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty Mobile was easily one of the most popular mobile games of 2019, winning Mobile Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019 and earning widespread critical acclaim. Activision has continued to support Call of Duty Mobile well into 2020, releasing new content for the game on a regular basis. The stream of new content to Call of Duty Mobile shows no signs of slowing down, as the developers are now teasing the addition of a fan favorite Modern Warfare 2 map.

For those unfamiliar with Call of Duty Mobile, it’s basically a “greatest hits” compilation of the most popular maps and modes from Call of Duty’s history. And now the game will include fan favorite Modern Warfare 2 map Rust, which is being teased for a future update. Unfortunately, specific release date information for the Call of Duty Mobile Rust map is unavailable at the time of this writing, but hopefully more details come sooner rather than later.
The Call of Duty Mobile Steel Legion update also added a mode inspired by Modern Warfare’s Gunfight. Call of Duty: Mobile recently kicked off its fifth season, dubbed Steel Legion. The latest season has added new weapons, Operators, game modes, as well as a map called Meltdown. Meltdown is now available in TDM, Search and Destroy, Gun Game: Team Fight, DOM, Snipers Only, and FFA.

The latest season of Call of Duty: Mobile also brings two Operators from the Black Ops series. The first Operator is the son of Alex Mason, David “Section” Mason, and the other is Reaper, an experimental war robot from Black Ops 3. Along with these, the game has added Industrial Revolution-themed weapons and gear.
